Orange Junior Soccer Club Joins Forces With CDA Slammers FC

Orange, California, November 28, 2016 - Orange Junior Soccer Club (OJSC) has announced an affiliation with CDA Slammers FC, a licensee of Slammers Futbol Club.

OJSC has once again responded to the growing need to provide exceptional soccer development opportunities to the children in our community. Through this affiliation, OJSC will be able to offer every child in the club a soccer development pathway designed to develop distinguished athletes, exemplary students and upstanding young adults.

The benefits of the affiliation between OJSC and CDA Slammers FC include:

• Shared vision for the future of youth soccer and commitment to individual

player development at all levels and ages as the primary focus of our program;

• Mutual commitment to raising the standards of youth soccer in our community;

• Collaboration to enhance and further develop our existing club-wide curriculum

to create a nationally recognized and respected standard for player development;

• Strengthening of our continual professional coaching education program through access to CDA Slammers FC training methods, resources, programs and on-site training for coaches; and

• Higher level of exposure and support for collegiate bound athletes.

We believe that having access to cutting edge resources, professional coaching, structured curriculum, state of the art facilities and a nationally recognized brand will benefit all members of our club — boys, girls, olders, youngers, recreational and competitive.

Players and coaches will immediately adopt a more structured player development model that is built upon enhancing each player and each team’s technical, tactical, physical, social and mental capabilities. Greater motor skill development (formation of new movements), supports improved technique (mastery and application), which leads to confidence in individual tactics (1v1 situations), followed by group tactics (combination of players) and ultimately team tactics. Coaches will be selected and retained based on their expertise and proven success in this model and their ability to inspire players to excel within it.

OJSC will remain its own separate tax-exempt 501(c)(3)corporation with complete control over all aspects of the club. This affiliation allows OJSC to partner with fellow non-profit CDA Slammers FC to expand and enhance opportunities for every child in the club. Effective immediately, OJSC’s competitive program, currently known as “Orange County Premier” will be known as “CDA Slammers Orange.”

OJSC President Jim Lake shared, “Through this affiliation, OJSC retains all the qualities that have made our club one of the finest youth sports organizations in Southern California, and adds to that the remarkable experience, expertise and resources of CDA Slammers FC, a licensee of Slammers Futbol Club, one of the most successful and highly respected youth soccer organizations in the United States.”

CDA Slammers FC Executive Director Alex Camargo shared, “We have long admired the dedication OJSC has demonstrated to its community and the opportunities it makes available to thousands of children each year. CDA Slammers FC looks forward to partnering with the exceptional leadership, including Erick Hurtarte and Kevin Esparza, to enhance those opportunities, create new ones, and usher in a new era of development to every child in the club.”

OJSC will soon be sharing more info regarding tryouts, team formation, and the development pathways that can begin as early as four years old in our recreation program and can extend through the age of eighteen with placement in a top university.

Orange Junior Soccer Club Orange exists to provide the best environment for children in our community to learn and grow through the game of soccer. Our vision is to become the very best youth sports organization. Our commitment to our young athletes is that we will provide a safe, nurturing and positive experience that focuses on their development as a player, a teammate, a person and a valued member of our community.
